Please either telephone us during our usual opening hours or complete the enquiry form below to receive the insurer's official claim form. Please note the issue a claim form is not an admission of a claim and you should return this to us urgently as insurers require claims to be reported as soon as possible after the incident. Lengthy delays in returning the claim form (more than 30 days after the event) may result in the claim being declined altogether.
Additionally we advise that the only way to report a claim is to complete and return a claim form to the insurer (which can be done via us). A report to the broker does not constitute a valid notification.
Please note that claims will be subject to
- Any excess applicable under the policy.
- The reduction or loss of your no claims bonus (although not all policies include no claims bonus).
- Claims are paid net of VAT if you are VAT registered (businesses only).
- We regret insurers do NOT pay any costs incurred in the preparation of your claim (for example, some businesses charge for estimates).
One of the following notes may be relevant to you.
- Computers:- Please note that claims for damage to computers can only be for accidental loss or damage to the machine unless breakdown cover or data reinstatement or program reinstatement is included on your policy.
- Employers' Liability, Public Liability, Professional Indemnity claims and motor accidents:- You must forward any correspondence or bills received from a third party to us without delay.
- Legal Expenses and Professional Indemnity:- Please note that claims must be reported before your insurance expires.
- Pleasure Craft:- Please note that if the vessel is a write-off the insurers will cancel all cover under this policy, with no return premium, and this will leave any trailer, dinghy or tender uninsured, if also included within the policy.
- Theft and malicious damage claims within your premises:- Some home policies and most business policies are dependent upon your security being compliant with the insurer's requirements and in force at the time of the incident.
